Give Kye a Hand
Kye Vincent is a Year 5 pupil at Gilbert Inglefield Academy. In 2016 he
contracted Meningococcal Septicaemia C and is now a quadruple amputee.
Kye's family are raising money to buy him a bionic arm from an award winning company called Open Bionics which is a Bristol based company developing assistive devices for amputees. They are putting on a series of fundraising events this summer:
- Kids' Disco at The Royal British Legion, West Stree, Leighton Buzzard on Friday 6th July 7pm until late. £2.50 per person.
- 11 a side charity football tournament at Astral Park on Sunday 15th July 10am to 6pm. £5 per player and £1 for spectators. World Cup final being shown at the bar! BBQ, raffle and lots more.
As well as these, Gilberts is holding a non uniform day on Friday 6th July to raise money for Kye.
There is also going to be a fun day held here at Gilberts on Saturday 21st July - more details to follow!
