Gilbert Inglefield Academy

Able, Gifted and Talented

As a school community, we aim to:

  • Effectively identify and monitor approximately 10% of our pupils as Able, Gifted and Talented children, reflecting the cultural and ethnic diversity of our school.
  • Provide Able, Gifted and Talented children with an education which meets their individual learning needs.
  • Develop a depth and breadth of opportunities which extend and challenge their ability, increase their enjoyment and involvement in learning, maximise their potential and which recognises the social and emotional needs of Gifted and Talented children.
  • Uphold a school ethos where achievement and ability are celebrated.
Further detail is available in our PDF iconAble, Gifted and Talented Policy.

The Web icon National Association for Gifted Children provides a range of information including the characteristics of gifted children and also offers organised activities outside school.
