Learning Community 2 Music Enrichment Afternoon at GIA

Children from sixteen local lower schools visited GIA on 9th March for a Learning Community 2 music enrichment afternoon. The afternoon was led by Mrs. Saracino who was assisted by her Music Leaders.

The children worked on music from the Caribbean, playing steel pans and also learning to play rhythms on the drum kit.

During the afternoon, pupils sang a variety of 2 and 3 part songs as well as performing on the African drums and  learning to play traditional rhythms with the help of the Music Leaders.

The pupils all worked together to produce some excellent musical performances and had a wonderful afternoon at GIA.
