Visit by author James Campbell

An inspiring and funny day was enjoyed by all year groups at GIA on 4th July, with a visit from author and comedian James Campbell.

Using his wit and humour to engage the pupils, James spoke about his childhood and how he eventually became a writer, emphasising that if he can get a book published with his name on the front, then the pupils  could too, or do whatever they set their minds to.

A mixed group of pupils from Years 6 and 7 enjoyed the last session with James, when they created an image of a story idea, applying 'labels' to help add layers to the image, thus building a story-line.
