Parent governor vacancy
We're looking for two current GIA parents to join our governing body. This is a really rewarding role, in which you'll get to know the school and have an influence on your child's future.
As a parent governor, you'll be involved in agreeing the school's objectives and targets, you'll evaluate the progress the school is making, and you'll be a source of support and challenge to the Senior Leadership Team.
We're a very friendly group, with varying skills and experience, but with one thing in common: a passion for great education, and for taking GIA forward to an outstanding school.
You can find out more about the role from the National Governors' Association, or please do call Mrs Swaffield for a chat. She can also put you in touch with one of our other parent governors (Rachel White or Anne Lane) who'll be happy to answer any queries, or email firstname.lastname@example.org directly.
We ask all prospective governors to complete an expression of interest form.
Should we have more people wishing to hold the role than the single available place, then we will hold a formal election and it would then be necessary to find a nominator and seconder and provide a brief statement.
We look forward to hearing from you!
